Prayerful Concerns of Our Parish Community: Trinity Sunday

Thank you for your positive response to finding these intentions online after the weekend’s Masses. We hope you find them helpful in your own reflections, prayers, and conversations with God. Following are the Prayers of the Faithful from Trinity Sunday, June 11-12, 2022:
On this Trinity Sunday, we praise you as a God of relationships. Through the gift of your Holy Spirit we are gathered here today; we pray for ourselves and all people.
That the people you draw to the Church and to this parish experience the unifying love of God, we pray to the Lord.
That the governments and economic powers of this world turn from war and greed, and instead work to establish peace and justice and take important steps to safeguard the health of our planet, we pray to the Lord.
This weekend, people, including some from our parish, marched in Portland as a protest against the violence in our country. God inspire us to speak out that we may be delivered from this evil and innocent people be spared, we pray to the Lord.
For the homeless and hungry, the sick and the dying for those who are afraid for their safety or their ability to pay their bills, may they receive consolation from God and help from people around them, we pray to the Lord.
We celebrate Flag Day this Tuesday. May our flag be seen and used as a symbol of welcome and refuge, of the equality of all, and not be used as a badge of fear, hatred or discrimination, we pray to the Lord.
Lord, you have entrusted the care of this world into our hands. Save us from the belief that there is nothing we can do to make things better, for that is a betrayal of you, we pray to the Lord.
For those who have died, that they share in the glory of God even now. At this liturgy we especially remember:
4:30 PM Robert S. Banks, Jr.
7:30 AM Raymond Thibodeau, Jr.
9:30 AM Peter Westort
5:00 PM James Spizuoco & For All The Parishioners of the Parish both Living & Deceased
We pray to the Lord.
Lord God, in your compassion, hear our prayers. Let the love with unites the Persons of the Trinity shape our lives and the lives of all people. We ask this in the name of Jesus the Lord. Amen.
