Prayerful Concerns of Our Parish Community – 2nd Sunday of Easter

Apr 8, 2024 | Prayers of the Faithful

Easter is a celebration of your desperate, costly love for us. Help us to spend your love lavishly on those around us. Today we pray:

The month of April is alcohol awareness month. The illness of addiction afflicts many of us, whether through alcohol or other means. God, creator of us all, today we pray especially for those suffering with addictions and seeking to live sober lives. We pray to the Lord.

Our sisters and brothers in Haiti are suffering violence and complete destruction. Inspire us to do more and say more and help more. We pray to the Lord.

The ancient covenant between God and our ancestors in faith tells us that no person or no-thing should be put in the place of God. We pray that we keep that commandment. We pray to the Lord.

That the sanctity of every human life be protected by the passage of wise and comprehensive gun legislation. We pray to the Lord.

For Pope Francis and other spiritual leaders who lead with courage and mercy. We pray to the Lord.

And today, God of all creation, we commend to your care all who are in need in this world and among us. Bless all who help to bring life, hope, healing and health to others. We pray to the Lord.

We entrust to you all our loved ones. Today we especially remember:

4:30 PM Assunta Sue Fasulo by Maria, Andrew, Ben and Cassy

7:30 AM Rose Ossi by Larry & Edna Flaherty

9:30 AM Michael J. Taliento by His Wife & Family

5:00 PM For The People of the Parish, both Living & Deceased

We pray to the Lord.

Jesus, your Son, set people free from the things that held them bound, physical things, illness, and troubles of mind. Free us from all that harms us today. We ask this through Christ the Lord. Amen.
