For Advent: Finding God in All Things – Uniquely – Through Film and Cinema Circles
Feature films hold the potential to be a threshold to the Sacred – for those who know what to see. After viewing an Oscar-nominated feature film together, we will discuss how this audio-visual storyteller of our time serves as a bridge for dialogue with theology and spirituality today. We will not only discuss it, we will experience it. Today, we do need great theologians, but we also need those who have experienced the Living God, and can translate that experience to others.
Audience is intended for adults and high school juniors and seniors, these three Fridays in Advent.
Facilitated by parishioner Mary Agnes Dwyer, M.A. Theology
5:00 Pizza Dinner, 5:30 Feature Film shown, followed by conversation, Cinema-Circle style.
